One project of CCE named “Risk-based Selection of Constitutive Models for Geotechnical Analysis” will be jointly funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Agence Nationale de Recherche (ANR). This project is applied by Prof. Huang Hongwei, Department of Geotechnical Engineering, CCE and Prof. Pierre Yves Hicher, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France. In 2011, NSFC-ANR received 55 valid applications and only 12 of them were approved. This is the only project approved in the field of Civil Engineering and it will be funded for three years.
