At the invitation of Professor Li Jie, a ChangJiang Scholar and Dean of College of Civil Engineering of Tongji (CCE), Professor Z. P. Bazant from Northwest University of the US visited Tongji University, who is an academician of both the U.S. National Academy of Science (NAS) and National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and a worldly well-known expert on concrete. Professor Zhu Hehua, Dean of CCE met with him and his wife.

    On the afternoon of September 25^th, Professor Bazant delivered an academic report titled as “Multiscale, Microplane and Lattice Models: Advantages, Limitations and Localization Problems” at A101 of the building of CCE. He also visited the Civil Engineering Disaster Prevention National Key Laboratory and was deeply impressed by internationally top-ranked laboratory equipments of Tongji University.
