On the morning of May 12^th, 2008, Yang Dongyuan, vice-president of our university met the visiting delegation of Swiss ETH Zurich led by Dr. Margrit Leuthold, vice-president of ETH Zurich. Yang Dongyuan introduced the development emphasis of some disciplines in the fields of architecture, environmental engineering, and civil engineering to the guests. He expected to further expand the cooperation area and promote the staff exchange so as to develop the cooperation on scientific research.

    Later, the delegation visited the Shaking Table and Pollution Control State Key Laboratory of our university and highly praised the active academic atmosphere and strong developing strength of Tongji while visiting to the Architecture & Urban Planning College.

    ETH Zurich was appointed as the leading university to develop cooperation with China by Swiss government. This university undertook the heavy responsibility of searching cooperative partners in China.
