2007 coordination meeting of wind load and wind environment codes in Asian-Pacific region was held in China and France Center in Tongji University from 19th and 23rd November. There are totally 120 representatives to this meeting including 26 representatives from Japan, USA, Australia and India.
This coordination Meeting is initiated by Japan Tokyo Institute of Technology and was held in Japan Tokyo in 2004, in China Hong Kong in 2005, in India New Delhi in 2006, respectively. The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate the existing structural wind load standards and codes in countries and regions around Pacific Ocean.
The contents of this meeting includes: communicate the understanding of structural wind loads and introduce new advances in this area; communicate the development of wind load standard, from the assumption of modification to specific implement measures; discuss the evaluation criteria and the implementation likelihood of urban wind environment; discuss the standard and the likelihood of implementation of indoor and outdoor air quality.
