On the morning of October 25^th , 2007, vice secretary Jiang Fuming met with a group of four headed by the vice president of Spain Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya Luis Torres Urgell. Vice dean, Ye Weimin representing the school of civil engineering participated in the meeting.The both sides discussed the prospects of cooperation and potential ways of cooperation in the fields of civil engineering, architecture and electronic information, such as student exchange, teacher exchange, applying EU financed projects and united research. During this meeting, Prof. Luis Torres Urgell warmly invited vice secretary Jiang Fuming to visit UPC; vice secretary Jiang Fuming also hoped that the both sides could strengthen their friendship and extend substantive cooperation through the further contacts.
