Recently, Mr. Pius Baschera the Board Chairmen of Hilti Corp. and Advisory Professor of Tongji University visited the University with his delegation. After a discussion with the University Vice-President Li Guoqiang about the cooperation between universities and enterprises and visiting the University History Museum, the guests visited Tongke College on June 11^th. Lv Caiming, the Dean of Tongke College made a brief meeting with Mr. Pius Baschera, Peter, the Asian President of Hilti, Wu Yonghao, the General Manager of Hilti (China) and Li Bing, the Marketing Director of Hilti (China) on the cooperation between the two parties.

   Lv Caiming expressed welcome for their visiting and introduced the school-running situation and talents cultivation of Tongke College. He hoped that the two parties would discuss some new cooperation projects during this visiting on the basis of the satisfying achievements obtained in former cooperation. During the meeting, the two parties exchanged ideas about the cooperation on tightening technology training and the foundation of Hilti-Tongke tightening technology training center. After the meeting, Mr. Pius Baschera gave a lecture titled Enterprise Development and Career Planning in the lecture hall of Boyi Building and then visited the Hilti-Tongke tightening technology training center.

   Tongke College had good cooperative relationship with Hilti Corp. In April 2007, a frame agreement of university-enterprise cooperation was signed between the two parties. Hilti Corp. invested 1.2 million Yuan on the construction of Hilti-Tongke tightening technology training center. Scholarships and set up award and grants in Tongke College. This center could provide practical training for the students majoring in civil engineering. So far, it has awarded certificates to more than 300 students. It helped the students get access to the advanced construction technology and was benefit for improving their specialized technical abilities.
