On October 31st, 2012, six faculty members of RISEDR, including
Prof. Lu Wensheng, Prof. Chen Qingjun, Prof. Qian Jiang,
Associate Prof. Lu Liang, Associate Prof. Li Peizhen, and Dr. Li
Jianbao, visited NCREE and Taiwan University. During the visit,
experiences of managing and conducting a large laboratory, such
as the equipment and facilities, personnel allocations, and funding
resources, were specially introduced by NCREE. In the meantime,
professors visited the large structural laboratory, modern structural
testing facilities, and an innovative precast base-isolated teaching
building. Topics such as design and implementation of model test,
technical application of seismic reduction and isolation for building
structures, and structural health monitoring were discussed.
