Under the framework of the Elite Engineers Program, CCE took the first step in launching Joint Final Design Program with Taiwan University in 2011, which turned out to be very fruitful. In 2012, the Joint Final Design Program was extended to Taiwan University, Cheng Kung University, Feng Chia University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. On May 9th, 2012, the briefing session of the Joint Final Design Program was held by Pan Huibin, the Director of HK, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office and Prof. Huang Hongwei, Vice Dean of College of Civil Engineering.

 This program was supported by the HK, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office in Tongji. Under the meticulous organization of College of Civil Engineering, 25 students were selected to carry on their final design under the guidance of teachers from both Tongji and Taiwan. They will study in Taiwan for two month, financed by Kwang Hua Fund for College of Civil Engineering.
